Everyone seems to have some connection to this very devastating disease. Whether it's a family member or friend or friend of a friend - we all have been touched by losing someone we know and love, while they are still alive. The pain of this disease is very real.

Our connection is very personal - Karen's late husband Jake, who had the disease as early as his 40's, died in 2016. Jake had been an engineer, drummer, and athlete and was a kind soul who was loved by many. The disease ravaged his body and brain but never his spirit. 

So Karen and Bob are running in his memory, because Jake would be running if he could. Let's make sure we can find treatments and a cure, so that we no longer need to fight this fight!
