My Personal Fundraising Page
I remember my dad bringing me home his Cleveland Revco 10k swag bag every year. I was in awe of not only the amazing swag but also his training and commitment to preparing for the run. He would inevitably instill this same dedication—or, according to my mom, "obsession"—in me.
The 2024 Chicago Marathon will be a milestone run for me. It is my 11th marathon, but the first after having two daughters: Penelope, three years old, and Sylvie, eight months old. It will also be the first time my husband, Adam, will be running a marathon. Most importantly, this year's marathon is dedicated to my late father, whom we sadly lost to dementia, a form of Alzheimer's, in February 2022. He was always my biggest cheerleader, never missing a soccer game, track meet, basketball game, swim meet, gymnastics competition, and so on, so I want to support the fight against Alzheimer's in any way I can.
This one's for you, Dad. I miss you every day, and I can feel your presence during the quiet of my runs. Thank you for always being here for me.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
