Abbey Czyz Chicago Marathon Fundraising Page
Two years ago, I signed up for my first half marathon after never running more than 2-3 miles. After completing two more, I was hooked and ready for a new challenge. I am excited to be running the 2024 Chicago Marathon alongside an amazing organization.
It is an honor to be running with the ALZ Stars team, as this cause is near to my heart. In 2016, my family lost my grandfather, Doc, to Alzheimer's—a disease that I wish no one has to see a loved one go through. That is why I am dedicating this race to him and continuing to raise awareness and funds to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk, and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs, and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
