FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is the virtual Ride to End ALZ?

This year's Ride will take place in June, on any day that works best for you!

How do I participate in the virtual ride?

Get started by clicking the "Register Now" button above. Personalize your webpage and recruit your family and friends to join your team and ride with you, or make a donation for research! Pick any date in June that works best for you. Ride 100, 62, or 30 miles (indoors or outside!) to match what you would have done at our traditional in-person event. If those distances are too much or too little, create your own challenge, the road is endless! Feel free to do all the miles in one day, or collect miles over several shorter distance rides throughout the month! Dress in purple or wear a Ride jersey. Download and fill out our "Who do you ride for?" virtual bib number and pin it to your jersey/shirt. Decorate your bike or decorate your indoor bike and the space around it. Take pictures and post them to social media with the hashtags #ENDALZ and #RidetoEndALZ to raise awareness. Be sure to join our Facebook group and/or Strava Club to connect with fellow riders, and maybe find a training buddy or two!

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, there is a $50 registration fee for each rider. The $50 registration fee is tax deductible and counts as a self donation toward your fundraising goal!

Why is the 2021 Ride virtual and not in-person?

As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 Pandemic the Alzheimer's Association continues to proceed with the utmost caution for our community and staff by keeping its moratorium on in-person events in place, adhering to the current CDC guidelines. At this time, we are uncertain of when we will be able to come together as a community and due to the complicated logistics of this event, requiring many permits from many municipalities, we are not able to hold this event in person.  We look forward to connecting with you throughout the season online and are working hard to make this as meaningful and fun as possible!  We appreciate your understanding during this time and hope that we can be together again soon!
