Our Team Story
Join The Judy Fund LA Marathon & LA Big 5K Team and be a part of a community of runners shaping Los Angeles for the better.
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's and other dementias, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, 16 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Run with The Judy Fund team and help #ENDALZ by raising vital funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
All participants must meet a fundraising minimum of $1,000 for the full marathon, $800 for the half marathon and $350 for the 5K.
The LA Big 5K will take place on Saturday, March 18th and the half and full marathon will take place on Sunday, March 19th.
For more information on how to join our team and how to participate with an official entry spot, please contact Rachel Schall at rkschall@alz.org or 323.486.6447.
Once just a vision, The Judy Fund has evolved into a movement dedicated to eliminating Alzheimer's disease. Marshall M. Gelfand established the family fund in 2003 at the Alzheimer's Association in loving memory of his wife. The Judy Fund, now chaired by his daughter, Elizabeth Gelfand Stearns, remains the fastest and largest growing family fund at the Alzheimer's Association.
