Alzheimer's is a devastating disease that slowly strips away precious memories, thinking skills and the ability to perform simple tasks. It affects more than 6 million Americans today, a number that is expected to jump to 13 million by 2050, unless we find a cure. As a senior living and memory care provider, we see the daily toll this disease takes on our residents, their families and caregivers. We've led the way in developing research-based enrichment programs so that our residents can have meaningful, purposeful days. Our staff is specially trained to support resident needs with understanding, respect and dignity and they are dedicated in their care. But that is not a cure.
We walk in honor and remembrance of our residents and our own family members who have fought this fight. And we walk in the hope that our steps will lead the way to a cure.
Belmont Village has proudly supported the Alzheimer's Association since we first opened our doors in 1997. In the last 10 years, Belmont Village Senior Living has partnered with the Houston Walk to End Alzheimer's to raise over $434,000 for Alzheimer's care, support, and research!
Please join us in this fight. We invite you to join our team or donate today. Together we can #ENDALZ!
