The Team Barbara’s Beauties was formed in 2018 while Barbara Brochu struggled with dementia.  Barbara was a beautician and even had a women’s bowling team with the same name. It is a privilege to honor her by naming our team "Barbara's Beauties."

This past May was particularly hard on Team Barbara’s Beauties as Early Onset Alzheimer’s took Laurie from us too soon.  Laurie struggled with Alzheimer’s before passing at the age of 65. 

On Saturday, October 21st, we will participate in the Orange/ Sullivan Walk to End Alzheimer's, to help raise funds for this disease. Any donation made significantly impacts bringing us closer to a world without Alzheimer's, and we thank you in advance for your support as we fight on behalf of Barbara, Mita, and Laurie. 

Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, 16 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.

As our team helps to raise funds for this disease locally your donations are hard at work locally and nationally as they go toward free education programs and services and research to help end this disease.
