We are looking forward to our team's 8th year of participating in the Northeastern MA Walk to End Alzheimer's.
Our team members are walking in honor of our mothers, fathers, aunts, and grandmothers who suffered from or are currently living with Alzheimer's or dementia.
We chose our team name, Tabbouleh Express, as a tribute to the Lebanese heritage of the team's founders. Our Moms, The Debagie sisters, are 1st generation Lebanese-Americans. Four out of the five sisters lived with dementia for years and we started the team in 2016 in their honor. Our team has evolved to include many other friends who are walking in support of, or in memory of, a parent who is living with or suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia.
Alzheimer's disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. There are over 6 million Americans currently living with the disease. One in three seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another dementia. We want to help change that. We appreciate your support in helping us find a cure for this terrible disease!
