I’m walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2023 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s™. I’m committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Currently, an estimated 5.7 million Americans of all ages are living with Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer’s. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
This walk is very personal for me as my mother was diagnosed with younger onset Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of 60 and spent the next 20 years of her life in an extended care facility until her death 8 years ago. The following year I lost a woman who was a second mother to me since I was 12, Molly also suffered from this vicious disease so I am fighting for MY 2 MOMS. It has also affected a lot of people in my extended family grandmother, cousins and the list goes on. Family members you know what a toll this disease takes not only on the person who has it but the family as a whole. We need to find a cure, continue the research, and raise people’s awareness. I can't do anything more for my 2 moms but I can continue the fight for other families going through this vicious illness. Join me in this fight if you don’t want to walk consider making even a small donation. I know how difficult these times are economically for everyone, but I feel very strongly about supporting this cause. To make a donation on line.
