On October 14th, I will be participating in the Northern Nevada Walk to End Alzheimer's for the ninth time and this year I am dedicating my fundraising efforts to FAMILY: my family, my extended family, the thousands of families who have impacted me over the last eight years, and those I am yet to meet. Top of mind for me are my own parents and what they faced as a caregiver and someone living with Parkinson's disease and later with dementia. My children turn 23 and 21 this year and I am sad for all the memories they didn't get to make with their Granny and Grandad who passed away when they were little. My Mum had her hands full caring for my Dad, but she cared for and about everyone and I can't imagine she would have had it any other way. Dementia robs families of precious time and caregiving can overwhelm even the strongest among us. I want better for every family so will you please support me again as we raise funds and awareness to help anyone who faces Alzheimer's and invest in a brighter future for future generations. Thank You.
