Charlie Pruitt, our daddy, lost his battle in 2015. Peggy is fighting the battle today, and Bill lost the fight in 2018. Gail and Richard are still trying to find her way through this darkness. We all have co-workers and friends who's families have been broken by this cruel disease. Charlie's Angels can be anyone who wants to be involved with me, my mama-Nancy, my sister-Stephanie, and our friends-who-are-more-like-family, strengthening our combined efforts to help squash this dreadful disorder.
Together, we walk for those who cannot. We walk in memory of daddy, in memory of friends who have lost their battle, and in honor of those who are struggling and trying to understand why this devastating disease hits so hard and hurts so bad.
This Hickory walk is scheduled for October 26, 2019. We are asking for your support and donations to continue to help push research forward and give hope to the future sufferers of this life changing disease known as Alzheimer's.
There are more than 5 million Americans who have Alzheimer's and that number only continues to grow. Our own future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this horrid disease and bring about the first survivor!
We need your support to do our part! We are asking you to please make a donation to our walk team or to our individual walkers to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention, and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Alzheimer's Association offers care, education, support and resources nationwide. There is a 24/7 helpline at 1-800-272-3900 and/or you can learn more at alz.org!
