Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we.
Monthly my mom continues to attend a local quilt group even though she is no longer able to sew without step by step directions. For our September meeting, I also provided a ride for another quilter, Sharon Stevens. On the drive, Sharon shared with Mary Beth(Mom) that she recently received a diagnosis of Early Dementia. The car was filled with happy chatter as they discussed their similar struggles and 'that clock test' from their diagnosis test. It was decided that they needed a team to walk in the upcoming walk for Alzheimer's. This team is in support of two women from Onamia, MN bravely facing a condition for which there is no known proven cure.
