Our Wife, Mom and Granny was lost to end stage Alzheimer's Dementia in 2015.

Though she had seen numerous specialists and doctors for 5 years prior, the results were always the same - giving us information on strokes though no MRI or CT scans showed signs of bleeds or anything stroke related. Other doctors stated it was simply 'senility'. 

We got the official diagnosis of end-stage Alzheimer's Dementia only ten days before she passed.

As caregivers and family, it was very difficult and upsetting to see this vibrant, loving woman who loved the symphony, animals, nature and most of all, her family - wither away and decline.

I can't imagine what it was like for her in that shell - not being able to walk, eat, speak or communicate in any way to let us know if she was OK, in pain or if she needed something.

We will always remember her for her love of baking and the delicious cookies, breads, pies and mile-high cakes she made from the heart.

Mom always got involved in games we played; badminton, horseshoes, kick ball and sugar baby. I think she even went through the paddle machine once!

Please help us reach our goal and raise awareness, provide more education to clinicians, assistance for families as well as help the tireless efforts to find ways to treat symptoms and eventually a cure.
