Friends and Family members,
This will be my 7th year participating in A Ride to Remember. Cycling 252 miles in 3 days from Greenville to Charleston is hard work. Living with Alzheimer's does not compare to this challenge. We need a cure today!
Thank you to everyone that has made a donation in the past. We are still cycling for that cure. Please consider a donation to A Ride to Remember 2022 - Ride to End ALZ South Carolina.
Why I ride....In 2012, my mom, Shirley Hodges, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. In 2017, my mother's sister, Jan Bond, was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My mom moved to Greenville, SC in 2013 and is presently living in a retirement facility. As her daughter, it can be challenging watching your mother decline and her memory fade. For the first time this year, mom did not know me when I went to see her one day. It only happened that one day but it opened my eyes to the future. God continues to give me patience in dealing with her memory loss and behavioral changes.
By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
Cheer Me On!
