05/12/2015  My mother died from Alzheimer's in 2009. I have raised money for the cause and walked in the Sandusky walk twice. I've tried volunteering before and went to a meeting, but nothing became of it in 2010. I love helping others.

11/17/2014  Since 2011, I have been a member of the Public Policy Committee of the St. Louis Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. I have been an advocate for Alzheimer's legislation in Jefferson City, MO and in Washington DC. I am moving back to Toledo in Feb 2015

03/03/2014  As a LPN in the 80's and 90's, I worked in nursing homes and worked with those with dementia. My father, who is 72, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 58. We had to place him in a nursing facility May of 2013.

08/10/2015  I have been a nurse for 31 years and worked with elderly for over 20 years, many with memory loss. I took care of my Father-in-law, who lived with us at home for almost 2years before he passed away. He had Lewey Bodies dementia.

10/07/2017  My grandma is at Parkcliffe Alzheimer's facility in Northwood and I truly enjoy being around the residents. I feel badly that some of the residents don't have any visitors. I also helped care for my other Grandma that had vascular dementia.
