In the News: WNY Man Named NYS Advocate of the Year!Join the causeThe Alzheimer’s Association, Western New York Chapter invites you to become an Alzheimer's advocate! Join us and speak up for the needs and rights of people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. Act NowThe Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM) is the Alzheimer's Association's sister organization. AIM made Alzheimer’s a rising issue in the 2016 election by engaging with every presidential candidate and helping several of them develop and promote bold Alzheimer’s platforms. Alzheimer's has never been discussed by candidates as much as it was in 2016 and it wouldn’t have happened without AIM. As a 501c3 non-profit, the Alzheimer’s Association was not permitted even to comment on the candidates’ proposals, but AIM was and did so in stories by USA Today and other major outlets. Learn more about AIM at www.alzimpact.org Watch the "One Advocate Can Change the World" video here. Upcoming eventsAdvocates meet with legislators in their home offices and make yearly trips to Albany, NY and Washington, D.C. If you would like to join us for district meetings this summer, please let us know!
