Walk to End Alzheimer's® Rhode Island Chapter

Across the nation, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to ending this disease. Because like flowers, our participants don't stop when something's in their way. They keep raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Walk to End Alzheimer's would not be possible without the support of our fantastic volunteers! As a volunteer, we count on your invaluable contribution of time and energy to make the event a success.

AIM Rally Pic.pngWe’ve made progress in the fight against Alzheimer’s with new FDA-approved treatments, but an unprecedented and unjust decision by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is blocking access to these treatments.

We need your help to get this decision reversed.

Join us on Wednesday, May 24th at 12 pm for the Rally for Access at the CMS Regional Office in Boston. Together, we’ll raise our voices to demand CMS stop blocking access to FDA-approved Alzheimer’s treatments.

Every day without access to FDA-approved drugs, more than 2,000 people transition to a more advanced stage of Alzheimer’s where they are no longer eligible for treatment. This is unacceptable.

The Rally for Access on May 24th at the CMS Regional Office in Boston will build off the success of our Rally for Access at the White House in March. Watch this highlight video and register to attend the Boston Rally for Access today.   People living with Alzheimer’s are counting on us to get this decision reversed. Join us.

The RI chapter will coordinate transportation. Please contact David Carlin at drcarlin@alz.org with questions.
