Are you passionate about putting an end to Alzheimer's disease? Advance the cause by becoming a Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee member. Come together with other local volunteers to rally your community around the fight. Use your ideas and motivation to enhance the experience and grow the movement to end Alzheimer's. Committee members play a key role in the success of each event, from getting local companies involved to helping participants engage with our mission to planning the event experience. There’s an opportunity for everyone in the community:
Executive Leadership Committee
Recruit local companies and businesses to start teams and sponsor the event.
Community Engagement Committee
Engage new teams from service and faith-based organizations, schools and universities, and other community groups, and celebrate existing participants and teams.
Event Experience Committee
Secure event-day volunteers and entertainment and coordinate day-of logistics.
Every year, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's takes place in over 600 communities nationwide — an effort that could not be done without the help of dedicated Walk-day volunteers. These individuals help with event set up and clean up, day-of registration, sponsorship activation, route activities and more!
To sign up as a local volunteer, search for your community's Walk below, visit the event's website, then click the "Volunteer" button. Fill out the application to let us know how you'd like to help!
