Upcoming Events August 2016- Coffee with Congress Our Alzheimer's Ambassadors will be meeting with our area Members of Congress (Senator Shelby, Senator Sessions, Representative Brooks & Representative Aderholt) in August. They will be taking caregivers with them to the meeting to share their stories. These personal stories make a tremendous impact on our policymakers. Physician Outreach: Has your loved one's doctor or your doctor suggested you contact the Alzheimer's Association for resources, support & education? If so, please give us a call, day or night, weekday or weekend, 24/7 at 1-800-272-3900. Please let us know if a medical professional referred you to us. We are trying really hard to make sure they know that we are here for you and we have the time to talk. If you are a medical professional that serves those affected by Alzheimer's/dementia, please refer those clients to us. We have a referral form that we can provide you and then we will follow up with them. Even if you don't have a form on hand, ask them if you can have us call them or encourage them to call us when they leave your office.

*We are recruiting volunteers to be trained to start-up new support groups throughout our 11 county service area.
