Partnership addresses Alzheimer’s challenges in LGBTQ community
The LGBTQ community faces unique challenges related to Alzheimer's and all other dementia, including access to inclusive health care providers, fewer adult children to call upon for assistance, stigma, and higher rates of poverty and social isolation. On our blog, Dan Stewart of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation talks about the HRC’s partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, which aims to provide the LGBTQ community with Alzheimer’s information and resources.
