Navajo tribal member reaches her community with Alzheimer's education
One of every five American Indian and Alaska Native adults aged 45 and older reports experiencing cognitive decline. On our blog, Valerie Jones, a member of the Navajo Nation who works with the Indian Health Service as its elder health care data coordinator, talks about the importance of engaging tribes and tribal health systems in Alzheimer’s awareness and the need to support caregivers.
