Man reaches the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in honor of his wife
In June, Mark de Roo ascended Mt. Kilimanjaro for The Longest Day®, a fundraising event of the Alzheimer's Association held on the summer solstice. De Roo raised more than $90,000 in honor of his wife, Roxanne, who died from Alzheimer's in 2018. On June 20, 2020, thousands of participants like de Roo will come together once again to advance the efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
