Federal Update

Child Thank YouLast night House and Senate negotiators unveiled an "omnibus" bill to fund the federal government that included $122 million in additional Alzheimer’s funding, the largest-ever increase in federal funding for Alzheimer's research and care programs.

This is an extremely important step forward in the fight against this devastating disease, and YOU made it happen!

This hasn't been an easy time in Washington to win such an advance. But as an Alzheimer's Association advocate, your tireless efforts to secure these much needed resources made all the difference in the halls of Congress. Your phone calls, written messages and personal visits are resulting in more funding for one of this nation’s costliest diseases.

Increasing the federal government's commitment to funding Alzheimer's initiatives has long been a top priority of the Alzheimer's Association, and our advocacy efforts have been unwavering. As the world’s leading organization working to advance essential research and enhance care for those living with this disease, the Association appreciates your hard work and dedication to ending the burden of Alzheimer’s. There’s still much more to be done and we hope you’ll continue to help us create a world without Alzheimer’s disease.
