The Alzheimer’s cause is close to Emmy- and Tony-winning actor David Hyde Pierce’s heart. During Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, the Alzheimer’s Association Celebrity Champion appeared on NBC's "TODAY" to share his family’s experience and shine a light on misconceptions about the disease.

Volunteer implores young people to join the fight against Alzheimer’s
Jennifer Van Oss’ father, Robert, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at age 52, when Jennifer was 15, and died in 2009. On our blog, Jennifer, an Alzheimer’s Association volunteer who formerly worked as an activity director at a memory care home, says it’s important for younger generations to get involved: “Alzheimer’s is a growing issue, not a shrinking one.”
