Research Roundtable

It is well known that Alzheimer's disease is marked by cognitive decline as people progress from early AD to full dementia. As the disease progresses, AD sleep disorders and neuropsychiatric symptoms become common. These symptoms are often disruptive and can create tremendous challenges for people with the disease and their care partners. A better understanding of drivers of these neuropsychiatric symptoms in AD may lead to more effective treatments.

The Research Roundtable topic meeting will provide a forum for discussion of therapeutics that are currently in development, targeting sleep and neuropsychiatric symptoms in AD, including non pharmacological approaches. The meeting will discuss issues and current barriers to success for developing this class of therapeutics. This Research Roundtable topic meeting will allow experts in the field to provide perspectives and experiences that may help pave a path for optimal development of new therapies.
