South Carolina State House Day 2019
Registration for State House Day is now closed!
Alzheimer's Association advocates will gather in Columbia on April 10th DRESSED IN PURPLE to raise awareness of the fight to #ENDALZ in South Carolina!
If you missed the deadline to register, you can still participate in State House Day remotely. Just text ALZSC to 52886 to get our advocacy alerts for South Carolina! We'll send out a special alert on April 10th that will let you add your voice to ours!
On State House Day, we'll be making strategic requests of state policymakers, including:
- Continue funding the Alzheimer's Caregiver Respite Program.
This long-running program helps dementia caregivers take a break and stay healthier! - Establish a full-time Dementia Coordinator at the new Department on Aging.
The Alzheimer's Resource Coordination Center was established in 1995, but this important program has never been funded. Now's the time!
