SC State House Day 2016
Join advocates from across South Carolina to speak up for Alzheimer's Caregiver Respite at our State House! RSVP today!
295,000 unpaid caregivers across the state are taking on the challenge of caring for our growing dementia population. Family caregivers play a critical role in helping individuals live safely at home for as long as possible, delaying the need for institutional care --which is more expensive for families and taxpayers. That is why respite is so important!
The Alzheimer's Association will host our SC State House Day on Tuesday, March 8th, beginning with a training and lunch at the IT-oLogy theater. Check-in will begin at 9:30 AM, and after lunch we'll cross the street to conduct legislative visits at the State House from 12:00-2:00 PM. It's free to attend, but your RSVP is required by Friday, March 4th!
