Music “soothes the savage beast,” beautiful artwork brings smiles to our faces, and spending time with family and friends lightens our hearts. But did you know that music and art also has the ability to reach those with dementia? When words fail, creative activities succeed in allowing for communication between those living in the dementia world and those who desperately still want them in their world. That is why the Alzheimer’s Association is presenting, A Night to Remember … an evening that provides an opportunity to have dinner with friends, enjoy local entertainment, and bid on the creativity of our area's artisans…an evening of bringing awareness to the Alzheimer’s problem.
