"Living Well with Alzheimer's" will feature a discussion with Cynthia Huling Hummel who was diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) in 2011. Five years later, her diagnosis was confirmed as Alzheimer’s disease. Join Cynthia and Emily Shubeck, AD of Early-Stage Initiatives from the Alzheimer’s Association for a discussion about the experience living in the early-stage of Alzheimer’s disease. This session will include an overview of the daily challenges living with the disease, strategies to stay independent and engaged, and a personal perspective on living well in the early-stage of Alzheimer’s.
We will also be joined by Family Caregiver/Author Rundy Purdy as he shares his journey as a caregiver for his grandparents, Christopher Masak, Senior Associate Director Advocacy for the Alzheimer's Association will provide insight and updates on the impact of constituent advocacy efforts.
Comedian/Author Jeannine Luby will present "Laugh to Live" - Jeannine believes that laughter and humor are the resources that empower us to live our lives to the fullest ... to be healthier, happier individuals that make more of a difference in our families, communities, workplaces, schools and other groups.
Valorie Hinkle, Regional Coordinator PALink will discuss the benefits of service coordination through the PALink to Aging services. Date:
