Growing evidence suggests that African Americans may be at higher risk to develop Alzheimer’s and stroke-related dementia due to higher incidence of developing vascular disease (including diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol).

Come hear from top researchers and professionals from SC State University, the Medical University of South Carolina and Roper St. Francis about education, research, and current clinical trials that are taking place. You’ll learn about how heart health impacts brain health, healthy aging and more!

If you are a family caregiver for someone with dementia, complimentary sitter service is available through the Alzheimer's Association to enable you to attend. Please call 2 weeks in advance to inquire: 800-272-3900.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is required by July 18th.
Click the RSVP button below to sign up. Lunch provided; seating is limited!

Help us spread the word! Print our flyer to share with your church, workplace or community group.
