The program, entitled Caring For People With Alzheimer’s Disease: A Habilitation Training Curriculum, offers a 7 hour training to staff leaders who will then be equipped to return to their site and offer up to 13 hours of training to all staff. This Train The Trainer course is specifically meant for those who are already familiar with Alzheimer’s and dementia care and who have some experience and skill in training adults. The training provided by the Alzheimer’s Association to these future Master Facilitators will focus on how to present the content to best teach your direct care staff, and not on the content itself. Therefore the best future Master Facilitators will already have knowledge of and experience with quality dementia care. If you are interested in enrolling a representative in a Train The Trainer Class, please complete the registration form. Alzheimer’s Association staff will vet the applicants to make sure that they have the necessary experience to be most effective. Your organization must be an up to date (renewed for FY 15) HEALTHCARE PARTNER in order to participate in this session. Please see the Healthcare Partner Application for further information. You may contact Gail at gaideuis@alz.org to confirm that your organization is a current partner or facilitate renewal. Please contact Amy Dukes at adukes@alz.org for more information. Date:
