The Alzheimer’s Association’s 18^th Annual Tulsa Memory Gala will be held March 7 at the Tulsa Convention Center Ballroom at 6 p.m.  Widely known as Tulsa’s most interactive event, the Memory Gala is designed to combat the devastating realities of Alzheimer’s disease, currently the nation’s sixth leading cause of death.

 This year’s theme, “Across the Spectrum,” brings to light the far-reaching impact of Alzheimer’s disease among families here in Tulsa and throughout the country.  National Alzheimer’s Association president and chief executive officer Harry Johns will be the keynote speaker.

Proceeds from the event directly support critically-needed research for a cure, and the Alzheimer’s Association’s programs and services that are provided at no charge – including care consultations, caregiver counseling, 24-hour telephone helpline, support groups, information referral, education services and more.

Last year's Memory Gala grossed nearly $1.2 million, and the planning committee hopes to exceed that record this year.
