The Alzheimer's Association, California Central Chapter invites you to join us and

  Wine Down

Did you know?

  • Women are at the epicenter of the Alzheimer’s crisis. Almost two-thirds of American seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease are women
  • Women in their 60s are about two times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease in the rest of their lives than they are to develop breast cancer.
  • Unless something is done, Alzheimer’s will cost an estimated $1.2 trillion (in today’s dollars) in 2050. Costs to Medicare and Medicaid will increase over 500 percent

  2014 Facts Chalk

Join the conversation and  discuss how we can make Alzheimer’s a national priority and help drive down these costs.  We can do this by implementing a strong National Alzheimer’s Plan with the help of Congress. We will discuss what is being done on the state level in California to fight this devastating disease. What are those resources?

Come learn more about state and federal advocacy activites, plus here is your chance interact with elected leaders and let your voice be heard on the issues of dementia and caregiving.

Many thanks to Emeritus of Bakersfield for hosting this event and providing light appetizers and wine.
