We'll Always Remember

Eugene "Gene" Dominique will be remembered in many ways.
A family man. A loving husband, father and grandpa. A man of strong faith. A servant of God. A generous spirit and a kind and gentle soul.
Those who knew Gene recognized him as a quiet and thoughtful person. He was a great listener and an extremely hardworking businessman.
He grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana where he met Patricia "Pat" Holloway, his high school sweetheart and future wife of 45 years.
Together they had three children: Dave, Dawn and Doug.
After graduating with his MBA from the University of Indiana, Gene began his career with State Farm Insurance Company. He and Pat eventually moved to Kendall Lakes, FL where they started their own State Farm agency. They were active in their community and involved with their church.
When Pat passed away in 2004 Gene moved to Wake Forest, NC. He became involved with the Wake Forest United Methodist Church and was active with the Methodist men's group.
He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Darrin, Hope and Chase.
Gene was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2011 and slowly progressed through the stages, never losing his gentle nature, kind smile, and endearing sense of humor.
