Why are we hosting this event to benefit the Alzheimer's Association?

In 2014, my father and mother attended an ALZ event in their town of Pinehurst, NC. The event included a short talk and the showing of the Glen Campbell movie, "I'll Be Me." Before the movie the audience was offered an indicator test. My mom had no problem meeting the 35 score you needed. My dad scored a 20. Not long after that time, we effectively lost our father to Alzheimer's, the most common form of dementia. Now my friends and I want to help. We are channeling our love of tennis into a fun, educational tennis relay event. This event is in cooperation with the Alzheimer's Association's campaign, The Longest Day – to honor those impacted by the disease and their caregivers.

We are now up to three participating clubs across Charlotte. Each organized by a passionate group with their own very personal connections to Alzheimer's and the cause.

Thank you for your support!
