A Tribute to the living forgotten

This is where we're supposed dedicate our fund to a loved one who has suffered Alzheimer's, but fortunately we do not have a sad story of a close family member or friend who has/had Alzheimer's. So this fund is dedicated to anyone who has suffered Alzheimer's alone and has no one to remember them and memories shared. It's one thing to lose your memory, it's another to be forgotten before you forget.
As founders of http://theCHIVE.com, my brother John and I do sympathize with anyone who has lost a loved one to this tragic disease. Life is about living each day to the fullest and remembering every laugh, cry, pinch, first love, good-time, bad-time, parking ticket, first kiss, vacation, child birth, wedding, name, face, sneeze, yawn and smile.
Sorin Cerin once said, "We live behind the closed doors of our own destiny." Once Alzheimer's sets in those doors are locked for good. Please help us to open those doors and reach our goal of raising $10,000 within the next year. Every dollar donated to our Alzheimer's fund will be matched by Resignation, LLC until we hit $10,000! All proceeds go to the Alzheimer's Association. Thanks for your support!

I wish I found this page before the Alzheimer's Walk I did two weeks ago! I was struggling to raise funds and both of my maternal grandparents suffered from the disease to varying degrees. While we didn't raise anywhere near our family's goal, every dollar still helped and I was proud to walk that 5K in my 3D BFM and got a few "Chive On!"s while I was there. Thanks for the support Leo and John and keep up the amazing work you do to help people. KCCO!

Thank you!!
As the wife of a Alzheimer's victim, I applaud your actions! My husband was diagnosed at age 55, 8 years ago and has and has been in a care facility for the last 6 years. Myself and our children, now 21, 16 and 10 (as of tomorrow)have been involved in attempting to raise funds and awareness of this terrible disease. I think that is why I admire you and what you have done. To have no one affected by this disease and to do what you have done is amazing and I thank you. May you and yours enjoy health in happiness in all you do.

Give money to people known for perpetrating hoaxes? Not likely. You'll have a posting in a week saying the money actually went to booze or something.
