Our father, Jim Sanders, was the smartest man we ever knew. He had two passions in life...his family and the pursuit of knowledge. Always an avid reader, he read countless books in a variety of subjects and possessed a remarkable ability to retain the information. This meant when we played Trivial Pursuit on vacations at the beach, you definitely wanted him on your side because his team always won.

When we were growing up "our daddy can fix anything" was a point of pride for us, and it was pretty much true. He just knew how everything worked. Later in life, he started building computers and he made sure anyone in the family who needed or wanted a computer got one... with the best mother board, hard drive and memory installed by his own hands. He loved astrophysics and could explain quantum mechanics and string theory in layman's terms. He would proof read our college papers and make them better than we ever could on our own. His mind was brilliant...until Alzheimer's took hold of it.

Alzheimer's destroyed our dad's mind and body. The computers he once built, he couldn't even power on. The books he once read, he couldn't even hold. The children he once loved more than anything in the world, he couldn't even recognize. And it eventually took his life on April 4, 2015 at the young age of 68.

Please consider donating to Alzheimer's Association to help eradicate this terrible disease.

Jimbo - I know you and Ter are having a great time up there! Make sure she stays out of trouble. Oh, and remember...don't send her out to see if there are more tomatoes on heaven's vine...unless you can tell her how many there where to begin with. ;-) I love you, Jimbo...more than you know! Maggie

JT Biggs,
You are truly missed by everyone. Here are the top 10 things I miss the most (in no particular order):
1. How much you loved your grand babies
2. Trips to Fryes
3. All of your "shortcuts" through Dallas
4. Smoking cigars together
5. Great conversations about everything IT
6. Your never ending support and dedication to your family
7. Your wealth of knowledge and great advice that you loved to share
8. Your taste for a good dark beer, red wine, and top shelf liquor.
9. Your appreciation for classic cars
10. Last but not least, the beverage you loved to recommend to annoying people (a nice glass of shut the #$%^ up)
