Family & Friends,
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support the Alzheimer’s Association by being a part of Dancing Stars of Central Georgia this year! I am a Macon native and a graduate of Stratford Academy and the University of Georgia. After college, I moved to Atlanta where I practiced Landscape Architecture and received an MBA from Georgia State University. I went on to work in financial planning for many years before returning to Macon with my husband, Todd. I now work out of our home as an artist and artist’s agent and I am proud mom to our girls Mary Lois, Kathryn and Valery.
Alzheimer’s Disease has not personally affected me but the national statistics are staggering! Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, and every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops the disease. More than 5 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s, and there are over 15 million unpaid caregivers and family members who are affected by this disease every day! Clearly there is a massive and growing need and the services that the Alzheimer’s Association provides are invaluable!
I have always felt moved to contribute to my community and to support causes that positively transform the lives of friends and strangers alike. I am dancing for those currently affected by Alzheimer’s and the 16 million that are expected to have it by 2050. Please join me on this journey to help reclaim the future for millions and end Alzheimer’s. Thank you for your contribution and support!
