My mom got diagnosed with this disease a few years back. She still remembers me. We still have a great time listening to Nat King Cole music, and reading the newspaper and such, and she also loves it when I bring our little dog to visit her.
The more awareness there is about Alzheimer’s, the more families can start dealing with this disease earlier. Plus, the more awareness means more donations, more research and perhaps someday a cure.
It would be a stretch to call my participation in this event “dancing,” but the Alzheimer’s Association of New Mexico is a worthy organization that deserves support. They have already been a great resource for me, and I encourage you to donate generously!
