is participating to honor:
On Sunday, March 18 (after a thee-year hiatus from long-distance running!), I'll be running the New York City Half Marathon on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association.
If you have a relative, friend or colleague with Alzheimer's or know someone who does, then you know how dreadful this disease can be. It's the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States, and the only one of the ten leading causes that currently cannot be prevented or cured. In New York alone, nearly 400,000 people are struggling with this disease. My mom has struggled with Alzheimer's for six years.
The Alzheimer's Association is dedicated to supporting the active and ongoing efforts to find a cure, with the goal of putting an end to Alzheimer's. With your help, we can get that much closer to achieving this goal.
Thanks very much for your support!
