I have been very fortunate to have a minimal experience within my family with Alzheimer’s. However, I work with many friends that have been affected by Alzheimer’s. If I can help to do my part to improve the lives of some great friends in raising funds and dancing, then I will happily accept the responsibility. Please give generously.
The first thing I can say about myself is I am a father to a wonderful 17-month-old boy named Juanpablo. We both live here in Albuquerque, but that was not always the case. I spent most of my life growing up in and around Manchester, New Hampshire, about an hour north of Boston.
I was born in Frankfurt, West Germany and lived there only briefly. My family moved and became established in New England. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, I became an elementary school teacher. I moved to Colombia, South America, and taught at a private school on the Caribbean for three years. It was as incredible as it sounds. Like my parents before me, I chose to call a new place home. My home is now New Mexico. My son and I find ourselves to be very fortunate to have each other and a great circle of friends.
In New Mexico, 31,000 people have Alzheimer's, and they receive care from 104,000 unpaid family and friends. I encourage you to help this vulnerable community by donating today!
