Mario Montoya is a firefighter with the Albuquerque Fire Department
Recently, my family lost our grandfather who suffered from Alzheimer's. Participating in this fundraiser is a wonderful way to aid in the future research of this disease. I appreciate your support and your donations towards our common goal in ending this horrible disease that effects so many. Please give generously today!
After being in the department for the last few years, I am proud of my reputation as an outgoing person. Whether it be singing around the stations or showing some pretty sweet moves to my fire buddies, our fire chief recommended me to take part in the upcoming Alzheimer's Association dance competition, which I gladly accepted. I have been told that my dance style closely resembles a combination of Fred Astaire and Michael Jackson — at least that’s what my mother and grandmother always tell me. Dancing and music have always been an important part of my life and taking part in this fundraiser is a great way to combine an enjoyable hobby of mine with a wonderful purpose. For the 5.4 million Americans with Alzheimer's disease, as well as their family and friends, I ask that you join us. Please buy a ticket or donate in my name today!
