Welcome to My Personal Page
Dad loved his sweets, and even when meal time became more challenging, I could usually get him to eat dessert!
"Try a bite of your pie, Dad," I would say. "That's my pie?" he would ask. "Yeah, that's your pie, and it looks really good," I would reply. Before we knew it, he had eaten all of his pie!
My dad lost his fight to Alzheimer's in 2013, but thanks to what I learned from the resources provided by the Alzheimer's Association, we were able to share a lot of sweet moments together. That is why I support the Alzheimer's Association.
This year, our Longest Day team is hosting a PIES FOR POPS fundraiser. Stop by Highland Hope UMC any time between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. to pick up a slice or two of your favorite pie...or take home a whole pie to share with family and friends.
Our team goal is $6,600. This represents the fact that every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's, but with your help, we can stop the clock on this devastating disease.
Please support PIES FOR POPS or make an online donation today. #ENDALZ #LONGEST DAY
Facebook may ask you to "add a donate button" to your Facebook post. Donations raised through the Facebook button go to the Alzheimer's Association, but they do not get added to your fundraising total for The Longest Day. Rather than use the button, please direct donors to your page on The Longest Day website by including the URL to your personal The Longest Day page in your post. If donations have already been made through the Facebook donate button, please contact us to request credit for them.
