I grew up in London, Kentucky, graduated from Auburn University with a Finance Degree. I worked in Philadelphia PA and Hendersonville NC while working for Kimberly-Clark Corp. before becoming a realtor with Blanchard and Calhoun. I have two girls, 9 and 12. I like to do anything outside on the canal, the lake, or the beach. Nothing makes me happier than to be outside in the sun while getting exercise. This is going to be fun because I have zero dance experience, and I hope my girls can teach me something! I am honored to be involved with this great organization and here is why:
A visit to Camellia Walk in 2015 with the Columbia County Youth Leadership program opened my eyes and my heart to the plight of Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer’s Association allowed the students to do the Alzheimer’s Simulation. There was extra time at the end so the adults got the opportunity to participate too. My perception of the disease and its impact were changed forever. I realized that it is not just memory loss, but a person’s total body is affected. Simple tasks like folding laundry and setting the table become difficult tasks in addition to loss of language and balance problems to name just a few impacts.
Please support your community and have fun at my expense as Randy Rollen and I dance for this great cause!
I'm dancing to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in this event, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support. Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer’s disease starts here.
