I am honored to participate in Dancing Stars 2018. I’ve enjoyed dancing most of my life. Being a part of this event is affording me to support an organization that plays a vital part in finding a cure for Alzheimer’s and, with a friend’s encouragement, allows me to tell my story. I have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus(SLE Lupus), Neuropathy and Raynaud’s Disease. I experience pain every day compounded by chronic fatigue. I have various degrees of numbness in my arms, legs, hands and feet. My doctor says I have no feeling in the bottom of my feet. Lupus is an autoimmune disease and difficult to notice on the outside. I really have not discussed this with friends because it is so difficult to understand. There is no cure for Lupus. Despite my personal limitations, I am dancing because I feel so strongly about finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Dancing in this event means so much to me.
I was born in Columbus, Georgia, and attended Columbus High and attended Auburn University. I am married to Andy Robinson. My son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Cile Branch are also from Columbus and went to Brookstone School, Davidson College and The University of Georgia. My three grandchildren are students at Brookstone School. Marianna is a 9th grader, Swift is in the 6th grade and Broughton is in 3rd grade. Watching them play sports is my joy!
I am dancing in memory of my sweet daddy, Joe Harrell. I know he will be smiling down from heaven! I need your vote and support to help me do my part. Thank you so much for joining us in this effort to raise donations for Alzheimer’s research. Together we can make a difference!
