Fundraising Honor Roll

I remember when I was 10, going on a fishing trip with my grandfather, Joe Momon Sr.  The truck was loaded up with our fishing rods.  That day in particular, we caught several brim and bass. He even taught me how to cast a fly rod.  This was one of several trips we had taken when I was a kid.

Fast forward 20 years later, I was on my way to a nursing home to visit my grandfather.  He was not able to recognize my face or remember my name.  At that time, he was close to the end-stages of his Alzheimer’s disease.  It was very tough time for my family.

He lived in nursing home for almost 2 years, never recognizing us.  He’s passed away now but I know he is in a better place and remembers all those wonderful times again.

He is the reason that I am dedicating time and effort to move forward the research and treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.  We’ve got to find a cure!
