For 16 years, John Clark has been doing long distance cycling rides to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter. He conceived of this unique project to honor the memory of his beloved mother, Ruth Vivian Clark, who passed away from Alzheimer's disease in 2004. In 2015, however, John will be "shifting his gears" by taking on a new role - that of mentoring new cyclists who will continue to support this tradition. The legacy of the event has expanded to enlist cyclists throughout the state to raise critically needed funds in support of the Alzheimer's Association's mission to provide caregiver support, education, awareness, and research.
