Welcome to the 2nd Annual BvB San Diego Season! We are ready to raise more money to Tackle Alzheimer's Disease. With your help, we can support over 60,000 San Diegans suffering from Alzheimer's, their families and caregivers.

Our passion and hard work will take us from practice to the playing field, but our success will rely upon the support of our friends and families and upon all of those willing to donate to this important cause. Together, we can tackle Alzheimer’s!

Looking to get involved? We need dedicated players, but we also need cheerleaders, coaches and volunteers. Want to see the game for yourself? Donate at least $25 to one of our players today and you can receive admission to the game!

MEET OUR CAPTAINS!

Ginny Cropped 1.jpg

Name:
Brittany Mulch

Team:
Blondes

About Brittany: I am an assistant for an investment management firm and part-time captain for Social Cycle. Outside of work I stay very busy socially. I enjoy spending time with friends, attending local events, mentoring and hosting get-togethers. I have lived in San Diego for over 5 years (I’m official, right?!). Moving to San Diego was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Though I miss my family and friends, I don’t miss the Texas heat. I am still very loyal to my Dallas sports teams – Go Cowboys!

Motivation/Drive: I lost my Grandma Mulch in October 2012 to Alzheimer’s, just days before the 1st Annual Blondes vs. Brunettes Game. She was diagnosed with in February 2009. I saw the toll that ALZ had taken on her and those who surrounded her. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see such a strong woman be affected by such a horrible disease.

I am playing in memory of my Grandma Mulch and also, in memory of Ashtynne’s Grandmother, Lena Linnenburger. Ashtynne played on the team last year but unfortunately will not be able to play this year.

Hometown: Dallas, TX

Name:
Ginny Chacos
Team: Brunettes

About Ginny:  I work for the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County running operations, family programs and volunteers. Off the clock, I am the Director for the San Diego Women's Lacrosse club.  I went to the University of Tennessee, Go Vols! When I'm not working or playing lacrosse, I am volunteering and supporting my friends in their community endeavors. Being socially responsible is very important to me. I'm passionate about helping others.  I love laughing, live music and everything neon.

Motivation/Drive: My Grandfather suffered from Dementia. Alzheimer's is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. I loved my grandfather very much and I want to do everything I can to stop Alzheimer's.  In addition, Pat Summitt (Head Women's Basketball Coach-University of Tennessee- 1974 to 2012) also suffers from Alzheimer's and she has always been someone that I looked up to, before, during and after my time at UT.
