My journey to Tokyo and beating Alzheimer's
Having worked in the endurance space for the last several years, I figured it was about time that I try to accomplish something I've watched thousands of others do. It's about time I see what it really takes to run a marathon.
Therefore, I have set a goal to run the Tokyo Marathon on March 3, 2024. I also decided that if i'm going to run hundreds of miles, why not run for something, why not run in honor of my mom and help the fight against Alzheimer's.
As many of you may know, my mom is currently battling this terrible disease. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's for a few years now, and it has also effected other members of my family. It aches me to know that she is alive, but I cannot share this journey with her because she does not know who I am anymore. But if she did know what I was setting to do, I know she would be proud.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
