Hiking the Arizona Trail to Find a Cure My name is Blake Gardner and I'm combining my passion for backpacking with the opportunity to raise funds dedicated to researching the cause and cure for Alzheimer's. I will be hiking the 800 mile Arizona Trail (AZT) during the Spring of 2018 and have a goal of raising $6,000 for the Alzheimer's Association. Over the years several members of our family have died as a result of the disease and two more are currently afflicted. It's gut wrenching to see a loved one slowly succumb to a disease that takes away their memories to the point they can't recall family members or have the ability to perform simple functions. A cure is within reach. It is my hope that these contributions will aid in finding a cure for Alzheimer's. All donations will be earmarked for research. Thanks in advance for your help! |
